Taking the Leap: Welcome to The Wise Brunette

Sometimes it’s best to throw caution to the wind and take a leap.  Whatever you’re debating, you’ve probably been doing it long enough.  If you’ve weighed your options and done your research, now is the time to really go for what you want.  Take the plunge and don’t be afraid.  You won’t get anywhere in life without taking a few risks.  Success or failure — you determine your future.

I have been thinking about this blog for a year.  I wanted to find my voice again and be able to help others.  I am yearning for a change.  I’ve been plotting, planning, jotting down ideas, playing with layouts, and frankly just trying to get a handle on what I really want for the Wise Brunette blog.  I had written a blog before and somewhere along the line I felt like I lost my voice.  I didn’t have a true plan and in the midst of writing, my passion faded.  My focus shifted and my posts grew distant.  I ended up with a permanent writer’s block and my content wasn’t what I wanted it to be.  I tried to update it.  I tried to get it back to where I wanted, but what I really wanted was a fresh start.  It was time to make a change and that’s okay.  Did I fail at my previous blog?  Well, in a way, I guess I did.  It didn’t turn out how I wanted it to, but I learned  along the way and that was completely worth it.

Sometimes the best thing is to give yourself  a fresh start to get going again.  Welcome to The Wise Brunette.  I’m jumping in with a splash!

**For those of you wondering, yes, that is me and my pale body jumping into the pool in a vintage ESPRIT bikini that was never meant to make it into the photo.  Alas, sometimes the shot you were planning on takes a completely different direction.
